Ford Canada, best seller in the country for 2011

This means more than 2.15 million units sold throughout 2011. Ford management claims that "this is the first time a brand exceeds the sale threshold of 2 million cars since 2007 and a first for us since 1995". This represents a worldwide increase of 11%.
This growth was driven by sales of sport utility vehicles and crossover vehicles. The compagny says its F-Series trucks posted the largest sales in the country. The group also states that sales of its Ford consumer brand gained 17% during the year. One must also highlights the interest in the Ford Fiesta.
Leaders at Ford are very proud of their small cars sales that show an annual increase of more than 20%. Sales of this small sedan rose 54% between 2006 and 2010.
Ford Motor reported a market share of 15% in the second car market in the world. Scott Cauvel, vice president of sales for Ford Canada, said that the company is optimistic that the Canadian auto industry will continue to grow in 2012. For the new year, Ford expects a third consecutive year of global growth with an overall activity increase of 3%.
